Hey peeps if you don't know me from last semester I'll just say it again because why not. My name is Simar Shipley, avid gamer, and I love playing fighting games like Street Fighter V, Smash Bros, and King of Fighters. I'm a nice guy to be around with whether its just talking or hanging out with me. Overall I hope to get to know you guys and see some good pieces of work. I'll see you next time in the next episode of posting in Blogger.

I spent a lot of time at this school trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life and it wasn't until the end of the 2014 Fall semester that I decided I wanted to go into graphic design. I didn't realize I wanted to get into photography as well till a couple classes into last semester. I'm doing all of this because I enjoy it and it goes hand in hand with making/selling music which is my number one career choice. This, to me, seems like the ticket out of being stuck working a job that I hate just for a paycheck.

Hey my name is Travis, I'm attending Nvcc to get a degree in both Graphic Design & Programming, mainly to also learn more about how to create better works of creation. What i mainly plan to do with this information is to either do one of two things become a freelance graphic designer/photographer and build up a larger portfolio or to join a company and work my way up.

hOI Everyone!
I'm Tyler and I am coming to college for animation and graphic design. As I already have done freelance jobs (just finished a huge one... so relived now) I can't wait to learn more about everything graphic and in the future, hope to get a job in the animation field.

Expect lots of rambling on all things video, graphics, photographic, and anything CGI because that is all I talk and read about at home. Along with that, don't feel bad if you don't get my obscure and hard references to shows, animations and games...
Below is a 3D animation project that I have been working on, and if anyone wants the details on how/what I used, you can read on below!

So, The main program that I use is called Autodesk Maya- which is one of the most popular programs for animation and creating assets for games. I modeled everything, created textures myself in Photoshop at high resolutions (Even though you only see a grid of 16 pixels. When I rendered it all out, I used Pixar's renderman v20.6 with the RIS renderer. The compositing and color-grading was done in post in After effects (although I am getting into Adobe speedgrade recently). the original image was rendered at a resolution of 2.5k, but scaled it down when I posted it online
My name is Mike Zastaury, I am majoring in DAT Multimedia Web Design. This is going to be my third semester with Professor Nevins and I plan on enjoying it as much as the first two. Next semester I will be taking my DAT 290 course and graduating with my degree.
My favorite piece from last semester
The reason this is my favorite shot from last semester is because I thought the pillars and bridge all somewhat framing and directing your eye to the main building worked very well together.
